This month, Made is Celebrating the Boy. The lady behind the blog is featuring boy tutorials, ideas, patterns, and more all month long. If that isn't enough for you, she's also provided links to the features from prior boy months as well. And, if you're like me and you have an older boy in the house, lots of these ideas will work really well for the big guys, too. I can't wait to try out the presidential shirts, made from freezer paper stencils. And, I can think of at least one grown guy who will be receiving one of THOSE for Christmas this year.
So, go check her out. Sew up something for the guys (or paint, or crochet, or modge-podge... you know, whatever).
I am so excited that you posted this! I was just complaining to Gadget Guy about how there isn't anything really cute out there for The Boy. I teased that I was going to buy him a tutu and Gadget Guy gave me this look that could kill.
ReplyDeleteI have an only child who is a girl and I was having this conversation with a friend the other day - she finds it difficult to find really lovely clothes for her boy whilst there is tons to choose from for a girl. I wish I could make my own clothes, I admire your talent.
ReplyDeleteFound you on Wandering Weds.

I'm a knitter, and the same is true about knitting patterns - they are all cute and girlie! It's nice to know that Made is focusing on boys; I'll have to check it out.

ReplyDeleteI totally agree with you about boy stuff! I have two boys and it's really hard finding clothes for them. You go to the store and it's mostly girl stuff..what boys don't need to get dressed?
Hi! I'm following from the Hump Day Hop. I have a boy and definitely need to make some stuff for the little guy! :)

It definitely isn't as fun to dress a boy. If I have to buy one more Lego Star Wars t-shirt I think I'll hurl. (I don't sew ... I buy. I'm pathetic that way.)
