Being frugal, we used plain Crayola poster paints to decorate our eggs. The result was a chalky finish, but once the eggs are sprayed with clear coat, that should be fixed. The kids had a great time painting the eggs. Katie used all different colors, while Alex enjoyed making egg "animals:" a fish, bird, and rabbit.
