Fill in the blank: running errands with a two year old is like....

... nailing jello to a tree, using a
flip-flop for a hammer
Kristen

... herding cats
Misty

... trying to cross-stitch on a roller coaster
Brittany
... trying to tie down
an elephant with dental floss
Lea
... a disaster waiting to happen
Karen

I posted the above status update on Facebook a few weeks ago, after a particularly trying morning of jetting around with Katie.  The responses posted here were some of my favorites.  However, one mom did point out that it is nothing like running errands with all three of her closely spaced kids.  She's right.  At least Alex is in school part of the day.  Otherwise, I'd be certifiably insane.  Mothers who homeschool: How do you stand it?

  1. I can vividly recall a day grocery shopping with my then 2 year old son, getting halfway through the store with a cart full of food and having to abandon it all to take a horribly cranky child home. Those days are stressful, but they really do pass quickly.

I would love for you to link this post up to my Fridays Unfolded tomorrow at http://stuff-and-nonsense.net

    Blessings,

  2. Too funny! We definitely have had our rough days, but as my kids get older that get fewer and farther between. Thank goodness! :)
