I know I need to add a crinoline underneath, but that will have to wait until my remodeled and relocated Joann's opens in a couple of weeks. The dress is a little on the sheer side. I'm wondering if the puffiness alone will fix my worries.
However, I think the large collar may take away from the tuxedo ruffles. I'm thinking about cutting the bodice straight across and adding summer straps in place of the puffy sleeves and collar. What do you think? Would you leave the design as is or change it up?
I know NOTHING of sewing. It looks cute, but I'm not sure if that is helpful!
ReplyDeleteHmn...I was thinking some of the same things. I think the poofy bottom will help the top to look better proportioned. I say leave the sleeves but can you alter the collar at all? It doesn't look like the right scale for your sweet little lovely:)
ReplyDeleteI'd change it up and get rid of the sleeves and collar. The ruffles are lovely and need to be the main attraction I think (other than your little one)
ReplyDeleteThis is too cute!(: I found your blog via Follow Me Wednesday, and am a new follower! ^^
